Returns and Refund Policy

Our goal is to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your Aki-Home purchase.  We understand, however, that sometimes an exchange or return is needed. No Problem! Read below to find out how to exchange or return your item.

Online Return and Refund Policy

Sorry, at this time we are unable to process returns of online purchases at our store locations.

For orders placed online at Aki-Home.com within 30 days of purchase, we are happy to accept returns and issue a refund. Returns can only be made by the original purchaser. Refunds will be made to the same credit card used for the initial purchase. Items must be in new condition with all original packaging and free from any damage, marks, or stains. Customer is responsible for any/all shipping costs related to returning the merchandise to Aki-Home*.

Additional Terms
-Mattresses and Foundations
Each mattress or foundation sold in the state of California requires a non-refundable charge for the California Mattress Recycling Program. This fee is collectible regardless if a mattress or foundation is being picked up. For more information CLICK HERE
If you purchase a mattress from Aki-Home along with delivery service, Aki-Home will pick up one (1) used mattress or foundation for each one being delivered. This service is included with any delivery in Southern California. Mattresses must be undamaged, unsoiled, and free of stains or marks. The delivery team has a right to refuse pickup of any mattress or foundation that they deem to be soiled, damaged, or unsafe to transport. Deliveries outside of the local Southern California area are handled by carriers that are unable to pick up mattresses or foundations. This service is not included for these areas.

-Furniture
For any concerns regarding delivered furniture, please contact us within 3 days of delivery.

Aki-Home Furniture has a three (3) day return policy. If you are not satisfied with your furniture purchase, please contact us within three (3) days of receiving your delivery or warehouse/store pickup to arrange a return2. A 10% re-stocking fee will apply to all returned furniture (manufacture defects or in-transit damages are excluded).  
Upon return, your merchandise will be inspected (we do not accept soiled or non-transit damaged items). Appropriate exchanges, credits or refunds will be issued for the purchase price of the item(s) and for any tax due to be refunded in accordance with applicable state law. Delivery, shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable. Return delivery, shipping or pickup fees may apply. A restocking fee of 10% will apply. Orders eligible for cancellation will be refunded in the original form of tender, cash purchases of $400 or more will be refunded by a corporate check within 14 days of cancellation.

Returns made without prior written approval will be refused and the customer will be responsible for any fees associated with return shipping. Any product returned to stores without approval will be considered abandoned and will be disposed of. Non-Furniture items are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
Shipping fees are not refundable.

 

In-Store Return and Refund Policy

We will accept merchandise returns of non-furniture items at our stores within thirty (30) days of receipt. All returns and exchanges must be new, unused, and have original packaging and contain all components and accessories. Clearance, floor models, discontinued items, gift cards1, seasonal, food items, and items specially indicated in their description that they are “Final Sale” are considered final sale and are not eligible for returns or refunds.

-With an original receipt
An original receipt is required for a full refund. The item’s purchase price will be refunded back to the Original Form of Tender. For store returns of cash purchases, accompanied by the Original Sales Receipt, a cash refund will be given up to $400. If the purchase exceeds $400, a check in the amount of the refund will be mailed to the customer via our Corporate Office.

-Without an original receipt:
If an Original Sales Receipt is not present, the product's lowest selling price within the last 60 days will be refunded via a merchandise card.

Aki-Home reserves the right to limit or decline returns or exchanges regardless of whether you have a receipt.

*Exceptions
Shipper damage or manufacturer defect: If the shipment arrived damaged from the carrier and the customer reports the damage to Aki-Home within 3 days or if the item has a manufacturer defect reported in the first 30 days, Aki-Home will make arrangements for the item to be returned at no expense to the customer. If damage is not reported within 3 days, the customer assumes responsibility for the item. Furniture Protection plans and Extended Warranty plans are non-refundable. All clearance, floor model and “As Is” items are considered FINAL SALE and are not eligible for a return, refund or exchange. All mattresses and foundations are not eligible for a refund or exchange once the customer has taken possession of the merchandise.

1 Gift cards are not eligible for refunds except where prohibited by law. 
2 If a customer would like Aki-Home to pick up an item for a return, the customer will be subject to a pick up fee.

 

WARRANTY

ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

 AKi-HOME warrants furniture purchased by the original purchaser to be free of factory defects in construction and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.

 This warranty does not apply to, and Aki-Home is not responsible for:

  • normal wear and tear of fabrics or cover
  • color fastness of fabrics or cover
  • damages resulting from users negligence, foreseeable misuse, fire, accident, and acts of nature
  • products that have been repaired/altered/modified by the customer or a 3rd party
  • furniture that has been moved from the original delivery address
  • merchandise marked or sold as a floor model or “AS IS”
  • mirrors, glass shelves and glass table tops are not covered for breakage, chips, or scratches
  • differences in wood grain patterns

 To redeem warranty service:

Contact the store where you made your purchase. Additional warranties purchased with the sale of the furniture may also apply. Warranty claims must be accompanied by a copy of the original Special Order invoice and/or receipt. If the repair requires the product to be returned to the manufacturer or distribution center, the cost of packing, shipping, and transportation is the responsibility of the purchaser.

 NOTE: Cushion core depression is normal wear and is not considered a factory defect. One year limited warranty applies to residential use only, warranty does not apply to business and or commercial use.

Warranty Terms & Conditions:

Aki-Home will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective item if the item qualifies for warranty service according to the terms set forth in this document. If the item is not able to be repaired or replaced, Aki-Home may exercise the option to replace the item with another in-stock item of equal or greater value. No refunds will be given. Any products that have been repaired/altered/modified by the customer or a 3rd party will render any warranty null and void.
